What is Cosmos Creator?

Can I create my own games?

Is Cosmos Creator a Game Engine?
Yes,
and SO much more. Cosmos Creator takes the "Game Engine" to the
next level with a total 3D modeler and texture creator all built in to a single
program.
The 2MB and 10MB limits in data size won't let me
create much of a game, will it?
Yes it will! This is
actually a huge amount of space for Cosmos Creator created scenes. Cosmos
Creator has the ability to create textures procedurally, and its not
uncommon to have 30-50MB of textures that only take up 100k or so. Check
out some of the Sample Scenes.
The Eclipse and The Village samples are only using 1-2MB of that 10 MB
limit. Unless you are producing a commercial game, these limits should be
plenty.
Can I create stand alone executables with Cosmos Creator?
Yes,
with the gold and platinum registered versions you can create .EXE's as well
as screen savers .SCR's.
What are the system requirements?

What skills do I need to use Cosmos Creator?
You'll
need basic computer skills and an understanding about 3D to be the most productive.
We get comments from users all the time telling us Cosmos Creator is the easiest
3D program they have ever used. There are extensive tutorials included
that will get you started right away.
Do I need to be a programmer?
Absolutely
not, but if you are you can do even more with the build in API. You
can create extensive 3D worlds and scenes, and even simple games with no programming
at all. Check out the sample car
scenes, these scenes don't need a single line of programming code.
Is there an API?
Yes.
Cosmos Creator has a very extensive API. You can do simple scripting
with Lisp in the built in script editor or write full C programs and link
them with your scene or game. The Cosmos Creator API consists of hundreds
of C, C++ and Lisp functions you can call.
Can I create and ship commercial game titles royalty
free?
Sure!
All games and 3D scenes created with Cosmos Creator can be shipped commercially
royalty free. Gold and Silver registered Cosmos Creator's will still
have the "Cosmos Creator" splash screen. Platinum registered versions
have no splash screen.
